A few days ago, Toei released the first trailer for the upcoming V-Cinema feature: Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger: 10 Years After. The DVD movie, to be released on August 9th, reunites most of the cast from the 2002 Super Sentai in a brand-new adventure from the same staff that was behind the series.

The film follows the story of the Hurricanegers 10 years after the defeat of the Jakanja. When an evil HurricaneRed appears and bombings start happening across the globe, it's up to the team of ninjas to reunite once again and face off against this strange foe that may be tied to their greatest enemy.

MORE CASTING ANNOUNCEMENTS MADE FOR POWER RANGERS: SUPER MEGAFORCE

This past week, Saban revealed that at least 9 actors that had not been previously announced would return for the 20th anniversary season Power Rangers: Super Megaforce. The list of confirmed actors includes:

Jason David Frank - Tommy/Green Power Ranger, White Power Ranger, Zeo Ranger V Red, 1st Red Turbo Ranger, Black Dino Thunder Ranger

Najee De-Tiege - Kevin/Blue Samurai Ranger

It is unclear what extent these roles will be for; many have speculated that most of these roles (the exceptions being Jason Smith and Alex Heartman) will be not much more than cameos in the final episode.

As for actors that announced they would not return this past week, they and their reasons, include:

Walter Jones - Zack/Black Power Ranger (didn't give reason why he turned it down)
Nakia Burrise - Tanya/Zeo Ranger II Yellow, 1st Yellow Turbo Ranger (Saban didn't follow through)
Blake Foster - Justin/Blue Turbo Ranger (uninvited by Saban, reasons unknown)
Valerie Vernon - Kendrix/1st Galaxy Pink (not enough time to prepare)

Richard Brancatisano - Xander/Green Mystic Ranger (wasn't invited)
Rhoda Montemayor - Rose/Pink Overdrive Ranger (wasn't invited)
Erika Fong - Mia/Pink Samurai Ranger (busy with another job)

For those keeping count, that makes 11 actors that have been confirmed to return versus the 27 that have been confirmed not to return. There are reports that several more actors have been invited, but we have not heard any word on whether they have accepted the invite or not. And if so, it is possible that these actors who were invited might still be dropped.

GODZILLA 2014 PRODUCTION SNEAK PEEKS RELEASED ON THE INTERNET

On May 16th, director Gareth Edwards released a brief V-log on Warner Bros.'s official YouTube page commemorating the film's release one year from that date. The video gave a very brief look at the location of one of the largest gatherings of extras yet for the shooting, which is currently taking place in Vancouver. This is the second V-log that has been filmed, the first was taken on the first day of shooting. Later that week, it was revealed that that scene shot would feature a cameo appearance from one of the stars of the original Godzilla, Akira Takarada.

Yesterday, Legendary Pictures posted a new behind-the-scenes photo featuring a train torn apart. This shot looks to serve as a call-back to the iconic scene from the first film when Godzilla takes a train in his mouth before violently tossing it back down. The film stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass), Ken Watanabe (Inception), Elizabeth Olsen (Silent House), Juliette Binoche (Three Colors trilogy), Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), David Straitharn (The Bourne Ultimatum) and Sally Hawkins (Layer Cake). The script has gone through several rewrites from Max Borenstein, Frank Darabont, Dave Callahan, and David S. Goyer. The movie is set for a nationwide release on May 16th, 2014.
